One shop for the whole path — design, build, finish

Design & Prototyping

CAD models and manufacturing-ready drawings from your concept, reverse engineered from an existing part or modified from your existing design. Rapid prototypes to prove out form, fit, and function before you commit to a low volume productionrun here or high volume run elsewhere.

CNC Machining & Short-Run Production

In-house precision CNC/manual milling and turning. One-off prototypes through low-volume production, made to your drawings and specs.

Aluminum Casting

Pattern design and fabrication, sand molds and cores, and aluminum casting — all in-house. Design from scratch or reverse-engineer a pattern from an existing part.

Finishing & Marking

Anodizing, powder coating, two-stage painting, laser engraving, and pad printing. We can even design your retail packaging and produce your product ready for retail sales.

We also do general fabrication, welding, and repair work.

Aircraft Display Panels

We have an in-house process for custom back-lit cockpit instrumentation panels.

Electronics Enclosures

Custom enclosures from sheet metal or machined parts, anodized or powder coatedin-house for quick turn-around, built to your drawings or ours.

Parts verified to spec — NIST traceable measurements

While we are not ISO 9001 certified, we maintain a quality management system aligned with ISO 9001 principles across our manufacturing work. Measuring instruments used for first-article inspection are calibrated and traceable to NIST standards, providing reliable, documented measurements we stand behind.

  • ISO 9001-aligned QMSDocumented process, in progress across manufacturing work.
  • NIST-traceable calibrationInspection instruments calibrated to a traceable standard.
  • First-article inspectionEvery dimension and spec is verified and recorded.

Owner-operated. You work with the person doing the work.

Adam Goldenstein, owner and engineer
Adam Goldenstein Owner / Engineer

Goldenstein Engineering & Fabrication is owner-operated. You deal directly with the person doing the engineering and running the machines — no hand-offs, no telephone game between the office and the floor.

Adam founded the shop in 2015 and built it from the ground up, literally: he designed and erected the shop building himself, serving as his own contractor and laborer. His path began with a farm upbringing spent keeping aging farm equipment running, followed by experience as a heavy-equipment operator, tractor mechanic, and motorcycle mechanic before earning a BS in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle. Since then, he has gained flight training experience in general aviation aircraft, worked as a Test Engineer on developmental test programs for the U.S. Army, spent a year as Pilot in Command of overseas UAV (drone) operations, and gained systems engineering experience in the development and certification of business-jet Flight Management System (FMS) software.

“I called several machine shops to straighten a go-kart axle. No shop was able or willing to do the work until I contacted Adam. Really good work at a fair price. Would highly recommend.”

“I needed a part extracted from a cylinder head cover… I had already spent hours trying. Adam ended up machining me a custom tool and extracting the seized pin for me. Goldenstein will be my go-to shop in the Prescott area for machine work, fabrication & CAD design.”
